FAQ’s

The following are the most common questions we receive:

Q: How long are IntegraSEAL’s products guaranteed?
A: IntegraSEAL’s wood and concrete sealants carry a TWENTY YEAR warranty as well as a workmanship warranty to ensure you receive the best care possible. We are licensed, bonded and insured so you will always have protection and our promise.

Q: What does the deck/concrete sealant look like?
A: Our sealants are penetrating; meaning they are completely invisible because they are inside your deck/concrete. It is a clear, silicate-based product. It goes on as a liquid and sets up as a solid; much like the consistency of plexi-glass but inside the pores of your surface.

Q: Does the deck sealant go over an existing stain?
A: IntegraSEAL’s wood sealant must be put down on bare, clean wood. Our sealant is a penetrating product and must go onto the wood uninhibited. Therefore, as part of our service, we powerwash and strip the deck to get it clean before the sealing and do a complimentary sanding after to ensure you can enjoy your investment quickly!

Q: Can we stain our deck after it has been sealed?
A: IntegraSEAL can stain your deck after the sealant has been applied or we can sell you our stain to apply yourself. Not all stains will be compatible with your deck after it has been sealed. After experimenting with several different stains, we have found our current products to be the most successful and the most lasting.

Q: Do you have a ballpark price?
A: No. Our prices are roughly based on square footage but there are many variables. A main determinant of cost will be the previous products on a surface that will have to be stripped or removed. The surface must be cleaned to our standard in order to provide the guarantee. Other factors are that stairs, rails and spindles on decks are all priced differently. Therefore, it is very difficult to provide ballpark prices—especially for decks. Even the quality of your concrete and its current condition can affect the price. Lastly, your bottom line is going to be based on the products you choose after seeing the samples our representative will show you. There are options with color and finishes that may provide some flexibility to your pocketbook.

Q: Are estimates free?
A: Our estimates are free of price and free of pressure. We simply appreciate the opportunity to tell you about our products and services. During our free estimate, our representative can inform you of the many options available to you as well as show you exactly how our product will affect your deck or concrete.
